A Disappointing Experience

We faced serious issues from the start. The space reeked of smoke and unkempt conditions. The bathroom lacked cleanliness, and the staff were unhelpful when we raised our concerns.

Despite reading the reviews, I found the room clean and comfortable with soft bedding and ample space – definitely a refreshing surprise during my stay!

The decor might be a bit dated, but I loved the cozy lounge and the outdoor garden area where I spent some relaxing time. It was a nice touch to have some games in the lounge to unwind with after a long day. The only downside was the occasional noise from neighboring rooms, which didn't bother me too much. 😊

i was pleasantly surprised by my recent stay at hylands. the decor has really improved since my last visit, and my single room was more than adequate. the location is also great, just a short walk from the city center. i particularly appreciated the friendly service from the staff, which made my stay even better.

the beds were super comfy, and the location was great for exploring coventry. had a decent size room that could be a lot better with a lil upgrade. staff seemed nice when we checked in too.

but the cleanliness was just not ok, and there were weird smells all over the place like something was rotting. also had trouble getting the right room setup we booked initially.

The Twin Room had comfy beds, which was a huge plus! The space was decent and clean enough, but it definitely felt a bit dated and could use some TLC. I noticed some odd smells here and there, which wasn’t ideal. it was fine for a quick stay, but there’s definitely room for improvement in cleanliness and updates.

Checking in was a breeze, and my room was clean and tidy with good facilities like tea and coffee. the corridors smelled a bit musty, and the absence of a lift made it challenging for anyone needing mobility assistance. a decent budget option but not without its quirks.

Not Suitable for Families

The staff were quick to offer extra tea and coffee when asked, and the bathroom had a decent amount of toiletries. The room was quite spacious but the overall cleanliness was a glaring issue.

For the money I paid, it was nothing short of disgraceful.

Free parking and decent Wi-Fi were the only bright spots. The family room was damp with foisty air, and parts of the walls were blackened. The shower barely worked, and the TV was non-functional. noises from the roof made for an uncomfortable night's sleep.

the hylands had friendly staff who helped with check-in. the location is great, really close to the railway station, making it easy to explore. i appreciated the cozy atmosphere and the amenities available. it felt welcoming and made my stay enjoyable.

the only good thing was the cheap price. receptionist was friendly but honestly, that’s about it. the location was decent n easy to find.

however, the room was filthy, with dust everywhere and broken furniture. A leaking toilet, just so gross.

Superb place for a quick stay

Spent 2 nights here in a Twin Room and honestly, it wasn't great. The bathroom was a mess, and the place just felt dirty. Plus, there were some loud arguments in the hallways that made it hard to sleep. They did have a cozy bar area though, which was nice for chilling out after a long day.
